By setting the cranks at 90 degrees, dead-centers are avoided, giving the 2V-10 self-starting capability. This feature has made the 2V-10 popular with radio-controlled boat builders.

As with the other 10 series engines, castings are in bronze and scale nuts and bolts and all necessary parts are included. Blueprints are full size and dimensions are in inches; threads are American.

Unlike other multiple cylinder models of similar size, the 2V-10 crankshaft is made by first machining the crank disc, then pressing in a piece of 1/4" drill rod. This eliminates the almost impossible task of machining a long slender crankshaft from a casting or bar stock.

Pipe fittings are not included in the kit. Tap sizes required: 2-56, 3-48, 5-40, 8-32, 10-32. Dies: 5-40, 10-32.
